Our Staff

Tida Allen, LMT

After 26 years and a very successful career in corporate aviation, I experienced a life altering event in 2010.  I made the decision to leave my career in Dec 2012.

Highly motivated by my desire to help others through their grief, I enrolled in the massage therapy program at Pinnacle Career Institute graduating in April 2014.  During my time at Pinnacle, we took part in events around town that opened my eyes to the depth and reach of massage.  I was surprised to see how much a 10 minute chair massage could affect a person.   I was also able to volunteer and work alongside a professional massage therapist providing sports massage to the men’s and women’s track team at a local university.  It was exciting to see the advancement of those athletes.

Directly after graduating, I became a licensed massage therapist in August 2014.  I spent the next 22 months working with a chiropractor.  This was a remarkable opportunity to continue my education through hands on collaboration under the tutelage of this doctor.

Beginning May 2016 I began working for myself.  I am presently at a point that necessitates a move to a different location.

My intention is to provide a place of peace and relaxation where a person can recharge and rejuvenate without fear of criticism or without the feeling of having to prove anything.  I will be working with Tanya and Debbie of True Balance Wellness to expand my personal massage therapy business; increase my knowledge and my skill in a safe, professional and respectful environment.  I look forward to meeting new people that are proactive in their own physical, mental and emotional health and well being.

Sarah started her own practice in 2012 at Back and Bodywork Massage in Gladstone. In 2019 Back and Bodyworks closed their Gladstone location and True Balance was lucky enough to have Sarah has relocate here.

Since then she has helped endless clients find the magic of healing through Traditional Chinese Medicine as Kansas City Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine."When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything."
